THE TIME OF THE GENTILES – PART 4

Greeting in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord!

We are closer to the endtimes than most people believe.  With that in mind, here is something to think about as it relates to the revelations of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus said to Nicodemus that you MUST be born again.  With that in mind, the Holy Spirit does not reveal revelations to your flesh, why?  Beause you MUST BE BORN AGAIN.  For the born again Christian, the Holy Spirit continually reveals God’s truth, in scripture and in life.  Let’s now focus scripturally, on the beginning of the “Time of the Gentiles”, and bring it to a close.

Jeremiah 39:8-9:

And the Chaldeans burned the king’s house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is considered the HOLY city of God.

Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to him, with the rest of the people that remained.

Here begins the start of Gentile control or, the “trodden down of the Gentiles” as Jesus stated in Luke 21;24

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

A question you might want to ask yourself is how long has The Gentiles reign?  Answer, from Nebuchadnezzar to the present day.

And this is all done by the LORD of host, the God of Israel, look at  Jeremiah 27: 5-7:

I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

Let’s take a look at what this verse is telling us in the notes below:

NOTE A

ALL NATIONS MEAN ALL NATIONS

NOTE B

Serve him, Jeremiah 25:14; 50:9

14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.

For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

NOTE C

Nebuchadnezzar’s son’s son was his grandson,  Belshazzar.   As you can see, God does what He says He will do!  This is the “very time of his land come: Daniel 5:25-26

25 And this is the writing that was written, Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin.

26 This is the interpretation of the thing: Mene; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

And What was the length of time the Jewish nation was held?  Jeremiah 25:11-12:

11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

NOTE D

Until the very time of his land come  Jeremiah 50:25-27

25 And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,

26 And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.

27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

We have so far discussed the beginning of the “Time of the Gentiles”.  Let us now examine the empires of the Gentiles and it’s conclusion by the destruction of the Gentile controlled world power by the stone “cut out without hands”  Daniel 2:34:

34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

Remember the image of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream that Daniel interpreted?  Daniel clearly gives us the course of the world empires as,  Babylon the head – Gold:  Medo-Persia- breast and his arms – silver: Greece (Alexander) his belly and his thighs – Brass: Rome – his legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.  The two legs in the vision represents the eastern and western Roman Empires.  The feet or the ten toes, are represented as to be “ten kings that shall rise” Daniel 7:24.

24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

Daniel  Continues verse 35:

35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

In this view of the Gentile empires, Daniel 7:27-28 brings this part to a close:

27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

28 Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much trouble me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

This concludes Part 4.  Part 5 will begin with Notes and will start Part 2 of THE FULLNESS OF THE GENTILES.  If you have questions please email or call me on the prayerline, 513-442-2644
