JOHN CHAPTER 8: 13-22

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ Saint of God!!
There are a lot of things in this world that try to capture our thoughts, the media being just one. But Paul gives the Philippians in 4: 8 what they need to be thinking about.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Study God’s word as Paul told Timothy and the peace of God that passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus!
CONTINUING WITH JOHN:
13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
RECORD OR WITNESS
15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
PAUL REFERENCES THIS IN ROMANS:
Romans 7:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
WHAT JOHN INITIALLY SHOWS US, PAUL, IN HIS EPISTLES TO US, REVEALS MORE. FOR EXAMPLE:
Romans 8:1 King James Version (KJV)
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
AS I MENTIONED EARLIER, FROM HERE TO THE END OF CHAPTER 8 JESUS ADDRESSES THE CONFLICT BETEEEN HIM AND THE PHARISEES: I.E., THE ORIGIN OF CHRIST.
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
HERE, JESUS IS ANSWERING THE STATEMENT THE PHARISEES SAID ABOUT HIM IN VERSE 13.
Deuteronomy 17:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
Deuteronomy 19:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
JESUS ALSO VERIFIED THE LAW , INTHAT NO ONE ACCUSED THE WOMAN OF ADULTERY!
JESUS ALSO REVEALS, AS GALATIANS 3:24 STATES, THAT WE ARE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH!
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
John 5:37 King James Version (KJV)
37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
John 14:3-6 King James Version (KJV)
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
JESUS GIVES THOMAS 3 ANSWERS IN VERSE 6, WAY,TRUTH AND LIFE.
20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
John 11:25-26 King James Version (KJV)
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
VERSE 25 GIVES UNDERSTANDING TO VERSE 26, AS IT RELATES TO BELIEVERS. JOHN GOSPEL WOULD HAVE YOU TO READ A VERSE THEN HE GIVES YOU TO UNDERSTAND IN MORE DETAIL LATER IN HIS GOSPEL. FOR INSTANCE, VERSE 21 IS EXPLAINED IN JOHN 7:34
John 7:34 King James Version (KJV)
34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.
22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
THE ONLY WAY THAT THE JEWS COULD COME IS BY BELIEVING THAT JESUS IS WHO HE SAYS
Praise the Lord!
